Our Fall Classes

Daniel Prayer - Prayer that moves heaven and changes nations
Led by Tami Reese & Sally Samarin
Book: The Daniel Prayer by Anne Graham Lotz
A trilling discovery of prayer that really works. What is the secret of the church? The spiritual restoration of America? How can you renew your own relationship with God?
It’s prayer!
But not your everyday “now I lay me down to sleep” kind of prayer. It is prayer that storms the gates of Heaven until things change. It is passionate, heartfelt, “I won’t let you go until you bless me” pleading until you get an answer.
It is the Daniel Prayer!
Bestselling author Anne Graham Lotz unpacks the ancient prayer of Daniel, a prayer that moved heaven and changed a nation, to help you unlock a powerful pattern for your prayers today.

Emotionally Healthy Spirituality
Led by Melody Mak & Bessie Cheng
Book: Emotionally Healthy Spirituality by Peter Scazzer
Workbook: Available at Target (The leaders will print out for the firrst class in case your book doesn't arrive on time.)
Welcome to our class on Emotionally Healthy Spirituality!
This journey is all about unlocking a deeply fulfilling, authentic life. True spiritual growth brings incredible freedom, joy, and peace. It allows us to move beyond surface-level routines and experience the fullness of who we were created to be.
Here is the beautiful truth at the heart of this study: Emotional health and spiritual maturity go hand in hand.
In this class, we are going to create space to slow down and refresh our souls. Together, we will discover how to bring our whole selves—our thoughts, joys, and real emotions—into a closer relationship with God. This is an exciting opportunity for transformation that will beautifully enrich your faith, renew your mind, and deepen your relationships with the people around you.
Get ready to embrace total wholeness, live with vibrant authenticity, and experience a genuinely joyful life with God. Let’s begin!

BEMA Discussion Group
Led by Mimi Reise & Stephanie Changchien
Podcast: The BEMA Podcast
In our group, we listen to the BEMA podcast and learn a new approach (Eastern vs. Western) to the Scriptures. Through this class, we will hear about how the Israelites would have understood the Torah and what experiences and teachings would be in the forefront of their minds as the Scriptures unfolded. This Eastern approach gives us permission to pause, observe, and find "problems" in the Bible that reveal deeper meaning and connections in God's word.
This is a continuation class from previous semesters. We will be continuing in the Old Testament in Season 2 of the podcast. If you'll be joining us for the first time or have never listened to the BEMA podcast before, it is helpful to listen to the first 5 episodes of Season 1 to understand the style of discussion we will participate in. There is no homework for the class. We'll be starting from the book of Psalms (Season 2 Episode 44) this semester.

I Do Boundaries
Why do boundaries matter?
God created boundaries for the purpose of order, protection, and ownership. They are God’s design for healthy relationships.
You are responsible for your thoughts, emotions, actions, and choices.
Others are responsible for theirs. “How other people choose to respond says everything about them, but how you choose to respond says everything about you.”
The art of communicating well is by saying words with kindness, clarity, and confidence. Grace and truth build trust over time.
Godly boundaries lead to a more manageable, peaceful, joyful, and love-filled life.

Walking with God - Beth Moore
Join Betty and me as we step into Beth Moore's most recent study, "Walking with God." Together we'll learn what it really means to walk with God for a lifetime. Beth Moore will lead us on a journey through Scripture to explore what walking with God looked like throughout the biblical storyline. This study has been crafted to spark a greater awareness of God's presence in your daily life, and will hopefully help you walk nearer to and more attentively with God daily.
